Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL)

A government diagnostic center that fulfills the following important roles throughout the United Arab Emirates and neighboring countries:

• To co-operate directly with national and international veterinary services;
• To aid in the diagnosis, prevention, control and eradication of infectious and non-infectious animal diseases;
• A list of research projects conducted by the veterinarians at CVRL.

International Lama Registry (ILR)

International Society of Camelids Research and Development (ISOCARD)

A non-profit scientific society founded in April 2006 to encourage the study of camelid sciences and to promote the scientific publications in camelid fields. ISOCARD members are from all over the world. Membership to ISOCARD is open to those interested in all camelid species.

Morris Animal Foundation (MAF)

National Research Center on Camel, Bikaner, India

Conducts scientific research on camels. They employ 14 full-time research scientists and have a herd of 270 camels.

One of the most useful sites for searching on specific topics is run by the National Library of Medicine of the National Institutes of Health. It is free, easy to use, accessible to everyone with internet access and includes the major peer-reviewed veterinary journals.
