ARF Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
Present: Abe Rosenbloom, Lisa Williamson, Pat Long, Karen Baum, Patricia Craven, Randy Larson, and Michelle Ing.
President's Report: Abe reports that Julia Ridpath from the USDA ARS has Alpaca cell culture lines.
May Minutes: There was no June meeting. Randy moved to approve the minutes and Pat seconded the move. Unanimous approval.
Treasurer's Report: The report covers May and June. Please see the full report for details. Randy moved to approve the report. Lisa seconded the move. Unanimous approval.
Development Committee Report: This committee primarily consists of Tsulan, Terry, and Patricia. The DC is recommending that the stud raffle for this upcoming year be conducted ONLINE instead of at the AOBA meeting in Pennsylvania. New ARF brochures will soon be available—5000 were printed. They will be sent out to the ARF BOD when ready.
MAF & LMRG Update: Pat reports the October meeting will be in Los Angeles. There is $1 million available for large animal proposals.
Camelid Health Initiative: Darby sent out an email proposal sample. Pat moved to approve ARF support of this initiative, Randy 2nd. Unanimous approval.
New Business: Two proposals were reviewed.
The next meeting will be on August 19, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. PDT. Karen moved to adjourn the meeting and Pat seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 6:47 p.m. PDT.
