The meeting was called to order at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
President’s Report
Abe asked Patricia to take the minutes and to assume the role of Vice President in the wake of Shauna’s departure from the board. Abe brought up the need for new board members and it was agreed to post a request for applications in Alpacas Magazine.
Secretary’s Report
June 14, 2021 minutes. Patricia moved to approve and Abe seconded.
Treasurer’s Report
Patricia moved to approve and Abe seconded.
Morris Animal Foundation (MAF)
Pat reviewed the progress that has been made towards cooperation with Morris Animal Foundation on reviewing proposals. MAF has agreed to keep the deadline for receipt of proposals as April 1. We will no longer request pre-proposals. Patricia will work with Janet Kane at MAF and post a description of our new cooperative agreement with MAF on the ARF website as soon as possible. Patricia and Janet will then work on an RFP to be sent out in late Nov or early Dec with instructions on how to submit proposals. It is expected that proposals will be accepted from Jan 1 to April 1, 2022 through the MAF portal. It was agreed that we should write a brief article for AM explaining our new level of cooperation with MAF.
Proposal Review
We reviewed 3 proposals and voted to approve all 3 for funding.
