ARF Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
Present: Abe Rosenbloom, Lisa Williamson, Pat Long, Patricia Craven, and Randy Larson.
The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. PDT.
August Minutes: Patricia moved to approve the August minutes. Pat 2nd. Unanimous approval.
Treasurer's Report: Pat presented the treasurer's report. Please see the treasurer's report for full details. Director’s insurance was discussed and the Board elected to continue coverage. Lisa moved to approve and Randy 2nd. Unanimous approval.
Development Committee Report: Patricia discussed plans for the upcoming stud raffles and silent auction. The annual appeal letter, and plans for sale of raffle tickets on the ARI web site (rather than on ARF site) were also discussed. Patricia asked for a volunteer to write a short piece, approximately 400 words, about one of our recently completed projects that could go under the heading of “Research you can take to the Barn.”
MAF & LMRG Update: Pat Long will be attending both meetings in the near future. No new news from the Camelid Initiative was available.
New Business: Four Morris Animal Foundation camelid proposals were discussed. Also, two ARF proposals received further deliberation.
The next meeting was scheduled for October 28, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. PDT.
Pat moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:58 p.m. PDT. Patricia seconded.
