ARF Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Present: Abe Rosenbloom, Lisa Williamson, Pat Long, Karen Baum, Patricia Craven. Michelle Ing had a birthday to celebrate.

The meeting was called to order at 9:07 p.m. EST.

Presidents Report: There was discussion of the wording in the grant submission form. Under “Intellectual Property” in our Policies and Procedures for research funding we state that “ARF is entitled to 0.5% of revenue realized from an ARF-funded project.” This was changed to “ARF has the right to request a percentage of revenues realized from an ARF-funded project.”

Secretary’s Report: January minutes were approved by Patricia and seconded by Pat. Passed unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report: The report was discussed (see attachment for 1–31 January, 2013). Approved by Patricia and seconded by Lisa. Passed. The 2012 summary and 2013 projected budget was reviewed.

Development Committee Report: Items needed for the AOBA conference were discussed. The ARF brochure will be updated. ARI has been very helpful in several aspects. This will be the 13th year for the Stud Raffle. Ideas for fund raising were discussed. The committee has been very active.

MAF & LMRG Update: No new activities. Pat Long is on the Board of Trustees of MAF.
